Abstract : The Generals’ Club of the South African Police celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary on 22 August 20121. Initially, the Generals Club consisted of the serving and retired generals who used to serve in the South African Police. All serving and retired generals and their spouses automatically gained membership. With the passage of time, all the serving generals also retired and the Club currently only consists of retired generals who were appointed in terms of the Police Act of the previous government.
